Asia’s First Platelet DONATION & AWARENESS Drive

Mr Anil Luniya Maharashtra lost his daughter few years back because of lack of Platelet…..Now he is a regular Platelet Donor & Motivator Saving many Lives Platelet is a blood particle which is responsible for blood clotting in case of blood loss. its requirement increases in cases of dengue, malaria, cancer and post- transplant patients. most of us are unaware of the facts about platelet donation . it is a simple procedure and can be done by any healthy person above 18 years and 55 kg weight. it can be done twice in a month. doctors for you launched asia’s first platelet donation and awareness drive in association with KEM Hospital, mumbai and TATA memorial cancer hospital, mumbai on 7th sept. 2007. in aspan of just 45 days the platelet donation at KEMH was doubled. till date more than 150 people have donated platelets in our drive.
